About Me

Unforgettable stories, unforgettable characters

Karl Dufour was born in Paris, France, in 1932. He studied Art and Architecture at the prestigious École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts de Paris. His life journey has been anything but linear, taking him through diverse fields—from high-level business leadership to artistic exploration. He served as the General Manager and Board Member of IOS of Canada Ltd., a pioneering force in the mutual fund industry. Later, he founded Melco Steel Building Systems in Montreal, developing innovative construction solutions and registering patents in Canada and the U.S.

Outside of his professional accomplishments, Karl is a lifelong artist, particularly known for his sculptures and reliefs. Art, for him, has always been a source of happiness and self-expression. In his 90s, Karl continues to inspire with his profound insights into life, creativity, and emotional well-being. His debut nonfiction book, Do You Sincerely Want to Be Happy?
